From a small rural bar taken over in the 1970s, Marie-Christine and Patrick GUBLIN have built up one of the most popular gourmet establishments in the Aube.

They have also patiently built a hotel, counted as one of the most comfortable in the region, which French tourists, and an increasing number of foreign visitors, have taken to for its charm and authenticity.

People return again and again to Mesnil-Saint-Père sometimes from far afield, for a refreshing break in this cosy niche before going out into the fresh air to enjoy the many leisure activities offered by the great lakes region of Champagne, only a stone's throw from the famous vineyards of Champagne...

Marie-Christine and Patrick talk about their self-taught background with natural modesty and simplicity, and the success of their enterprise lies in their constant concern for the quality of the dishes they prepare and the services they offer.

Cardinal rules for these two professionals, who have made hospitality their number one priority. Mais c’est inné chez eux. They have always spent a lot of time listening to what their guests expect of them guests who have become very loyal over the years.

So these perfectionists have spent over thirty years putting down roots in the area and building up a reliable team around themselves and their daughter Anne-Aymone. They claim to have learned much from the exchange of experiences with their efficient and talented personnel.
